We have used the coloured trays to indicate subjects and use, eg yellow trays are chemicals and squeezy bottle sets; orange are Junior Physics resources, etc. We also have a system set up to indicate which teacher has what and who wants what using magnetic whiteboard buttons, the trays and runners are labelled for ease of use and return to the right place! I saw the Gratnells Trolleys in my new Delta catalogue a couple of years ago and I persuaded my HoD to purchase one as a trial, as our trolleys were falling apart. When it arrived I was so excited to set it all up, it was like Christmas! Once I began using it, I was determined to convince my HoD to purchase more,…which we have done, I now have 14! The level with bench trolleys are the perfect height and don’t strain my back when loading and pushing it around. The teachers love them as they move smoothly and it is easy to pack away the equipment at the end of a practical. The steel frames are sturdy and the wheels are not cheap plastic but good quality rubber with a movable steel joint. I can see them outlasting me!
