Cathode Ray Tube Paddle Wheel

Description

Demonstrates that cathode rays have kinetic energy. Blades of the paddle wheel move when struck by electrons. Demonstrates that cathode rays deflect in magnetic field. Bring a magnet close to the bright image on the plate and see the rays deflect. All Crookes Tubes (CRT’S) require a very high voltage power source such as an Induction Coil (42IC) which produces 10 to 50 KV continuous voltage.
