Gratnells Trays for Schools, Classrooms & Science Laboratories
Gratnells trays provide flexible storage for classrooms, science laboratories, preparation rooms and other educational environments. Designed as part of the Gratnells storage system, the F Series makes it easy to organise teaching resources, laboratory equipment, consumables and practical activity materials.
All four standard F Series tray depths share the same 312 × 427 mm footprint, allowing different tray depths to be used with compatible Gratnells storage furniture, frames and trolleys.
Gratnells F1 Shallow Trays
The F1 Shallow tray is 75 mm deep and is suited to smaller items and resources that need to be accessed frequently. Its shallow profile makes contents easy to see and reach, making it useful for classroom resources, small science equipment and components.
Gratnells F2 Deep Trays
The F2 Deep tray is 150 mm deep and provides additional capacity while retaining the same standard F Series footprint. It is a versatile option for general classroom, laboratory and preparation-room storage.
Gratnells F25 Extra Deep Trays
At 225 mm deep, the F25 Extra Deep tray provides greater capacity for larger equipment and bulkier resources while remaining compatible with appropriate Gratnells F Series storage systems.
Gratnells F3 Jumbo Trays
The F3 Jumbo tray is 300 mm deep and provides the greatest capacity of the four standard F Series tray depths. It is suited to larger equipment, bulky resources and applications where maximum tray capacity is required.
Choosing the Right Gratnells Tray
When selecting a Gratnells tray, consider both the size of the equipment being stored and how frequently it needs to be accessed.
- F1 Shallow – 75 mm: smaller items and frequently accessed resources.
- F2 Deep – 150 mm: general classroom and laboratory storage.
- F25 Extra Deep – 225 mm: larger equipment and bulkier resources.
- F3 Jumbo – 300 mm: maximum capacity for larger equipment and supplies.
Because the standard F Series trays share the same footprint, different depths can be selected to suit the equipment and available storage space.

Using Gratnells Trays with Frames & Trolleys
Compatible Gratnells trays can be combined in different depths within suitable Gratnells frames and trolleys. This allows a storage system to contain shallow trays for smaller components alongside deeper trays for larger equipment.
Tray configurations can also be changed as storage requirements evolve, providing flexibility without necessarily replacing the complete storage system.
