IEC Magic Electronic Radioactive Source Simulator
IEC Magic Electronic Radioactive Source Simulator
SKU:44RMS
The IEC Magic Electronic Radioactive Source Simulator (AP2668-001) is a microprocessor-controlled teaching instrument that simulates radioactive decay and Geiger counter readings without using radioactive material. Designed for school physics and mathematics lessons, it helps students explore half-life, random particle counts, probability and statistics.
Key Features
- Non-radioactive simulation suitable for classroom demonstrations under appropriate supervision.
- Simulates a long half-life source with random Geiger-style count readings for probability and statistics exercises.
- Simulates a short half-life source, displaying the number of particles remaining and elapsed decay time for graphing.
- Short half-life simulation runs for approximately 45 minutes before reaching the final particle.
- Source can be reset for repeated experiments.
- Switchable audible Geiger-style clicking sound.
- Rear-panel operating instructions and supplied experiment sheets.
- 12 V AC/DC input via 4 mm banana sockets or compatible 12 V plug pack.
